The BBC reader iPhone app is a superb way to get your quick fix of news without trawling with safari.

It has three configurable tabs so you can set which of the main BBC news rss feeds you wish to focus upon. You are still free to browse all others by clicking more.

There is a nice browse by pictures mode and all content is cached on your iPhone so once downloaded the app is very fast at browsing headlines.

The news article detail is provided via an online browser which permits you opening the page in safari too.

All round a very nice simple app which I use a lot.
