Yes it's true, Evernote has totally negated the need for bookmarks. For me they have always felt inadequate but until I started using Evernote there hasn't quite been a solution to the dilema of organising information from the web in a satisfactory way.

Evernote is a slick capable application both desktop and on the iPhone. Highly sophisticated features like image based text indexing, tagging, webcam support, iPhone camera and GPS locative features add up to a real killer app.

A real clincher for me was seamless syncing between devices, multiple desktops and platforms.

The free version is more than adequate for most with a 30mb monthly quota. The paid version is so cheap it's a no brained.

Few apps earn first page on my iPhone, this rapidly went there and stayed.
