So the gauntlet has been throw down. In one moment the whole hand held computing industry has been redefined. Yet again it is software which is the defining feature of this new iPad.

iWork for OSX was always a nicer easier product to use, now a completely new version on the iPad takes mobile productivity higher.

The point is that iPhone / iPad OS is not a shrunken version of the desktop software (a la windows), it is a purpose built well concieved innovation.

Sure people will be quick to criticise just as fast as they were to feed the rumour mill. For me the iPad looks like the most fun you can have on your lap!
