Macclesfield Council - when are you going to empty my bin?

So there was a strike on Thursday with council workers. Polotics aside, you would think that there would be a notice on the councils web site to tell us when they were going to resume collection of waste? No. I emailed them on Sunday, and no reply by the end of today. Pretty poor. So I used their online form. The response is "Thank you very much for your enquiry. You will receive an acknowledgement within 2 working days and a response to your enquiry within 5 working". Hmmh. Not very satisfactory, we pay over £100 a months for this shoddy service.

The information is on the website - except it is not!
I spoke to two people at the council today, one was a supervisor. They explained that the information was on the website. When challenged the first member of staff could not find the page. The supervisor guided me to the right page (three levels deep from the home page) http://www.macclesfield.gov.uk/standardpage.asp?pageid=11310 .
However, when I then asked "Where is the information" she replied - oh, it is not there. Sadly Macclesfield Council seem ill prepared to communicate with their public. Could do better.
