The New York Times has become one of the first newspapers to publish content via an iPhone application. This free app allows users to browse top stories, popular content or perform keyword searches. Additionally there are links in the more tab popular news sections like technology, politics, sport and arts.

Users can save articles in a click which adds them to a Saved tab for future reference.

This well presented news app is a must for most Americans and is a welcome source for anyone interested in a US take on news.

It surprises me that only other iPhone app appearing on a search for newspaper is the UK publication The Telegraph. This sector is wide open for someone to exploit.
