If you provide the url parameter utm_source in your link from Twitter, Google Analytics will attribute the inward link to traffic source "twitter" e.g.

http://www.pauldjohnson.co.uk/node/34?utm_source=twitter

Now that is a bit of a mouthful so pass it through a url shortening service like bit.ly

http://bit.ly/A76V5

Add this link to your post and you have tracking for Twitter, simple.
