I am looking in to making sure that emails from our Drupal sites actually reach the intended users without being flagged as spam. It is worth knowing about these sites which manage IP directories of spammers. Sometimes perfectly reputable companies get black listed. Each site has a facility to check if your IP is on their database.

We have experienced some problems getting emails through yahoo's SPAM filter. Drupal emails for registrations have been flagged as SPAM. I had a dig and discovered a post on drupal.org which suggests making a request to be "White Listed" on the Yahoo site.
