Security Alert Gaping Hole in Barclays online banking system

I have been using Barclays Online banking for as long as it has been available. I have been mostly happy with the service. Since the PINSENTRY feature was added I felt that the security had improved.

How to bypass Barclays online banking security

I noticed that you can completely bypass the PINSENTRY by visiting an alternative route into your intenet banking.

Arighi Bianchi Macclesfield - customer service

This morning out of the blue I received a phone call from PA to the owner of Arighi Bianchi, Macclesfield in response to reading the blog posting previously available via this url. Until then I had been left with a rather sour taste after a recent less than average experience with purchasing furniture at the store. She has invited me to the store to meet the owner to discuss my experiences and offered to buy my wife and I lunch.

Sting in the tail at Amazon / Love Film DVD Rentals a fine and no means of contact

I have recently elected to cancel my subscription to Amazon DVD Rentals. I just didn't have time to watch the films so there seemed little point. The system is highly automated and cancellation seemed pretty straight forward. A couple of days after successfully cancelling I got another DVD, strange I thought, but how nice, a last film to watch.

Fox Hayes provide inefficent non communicative bad service for remortgaging to Nationwide Building Society

Buying a house or arranging a new mortgage is a stressful exercise at the best of times. Add to this a bad solicitor and you have a recipie for some uneseccary hassle.

I have just re mortgaged to the Nationwide Building Society. The society themselves have provided helpful and diligent service and my experience has been good. However, in the transfer of mortgage their appointed solicitor Fox Hayes have been nothing but useless.

This is by far my first mortgage, I have had excellent service from other solicitors

The House Shop - furniture now 70% off but our prices have gone up

The House Shop in Macclesfield, Bramhall and Stockton Heath Warrington now have a curious sale on. Their prices last week were for a sale which had 50% off, I have been in today to buy some furniture to discover that the sale with "some items at 70% off" means that prices have gone up on sale items. I suggest that buyers be ware of The House Shops pricing policies, sales are not all they might seem.

The House Shop Cheshire false sales wrip off

We have been looking for some furniture recently and finally found what we wanted in the House Shop Stockton Heath. The prices were good, the sideboard and table were in the sale with more than 25% off. Having discussed with the staff it was concluded that we would be best to order from our local branch, in Macclesfield.

Less than a week later we visited the Macclesfield branch of The House Shop only to discover that the prices had changed. When I enquired it was revealed that the 'SALE' prices went up in the period between visiting the Stockton Heath House shop and today.

Tescos Macclesfield - no free range chickens in store

It is a sorry state when even after a huge campaign Chicken Out by River Cottage's Hugh fearnley-whittingstall there are still not free range chickens available at my local Tesco in Macclesfield. It is all very well there being less than the manky cheap and nasty battery chickens, but to have no option but 2 for £5.50 is pathetic.Of course there is a choice, I bought none and will go to a decent supermarket like Sainsbury or a local butcher. Try harder Tescos.
