We just got a message from a friend who lives in Macclesfield warning us about a worrying scam being operated in and around TESCO Hibel Road, Macclesfield. If you live in the area please read this....

"Just to let you all know there's dodgy stuff going on. Earlier today ***** took my two children shopping. As he was leaving Tesco (Hibel Road) he was approached by a young woman who asked him for a lift to High Street - she said her daughter had been taken ill and she couldnt get a taxi to get to her.

So there was a strike on Thursday with council workers. Polotics aside, you would think that there would be a notice on the councils web site to tell us when they were going to resume collection of waste? No. I emailed them on Sunday, and no reply by the end of today. Pretty poor. So I used their online form. The response is "Thank you very much for your enquiry. You will receive an acknowledgement within 2 working days and a response to your enquiry within 5 working". Hmmh. Not very satisfactory, we pay over £100 a months for this shoddy service.
