Three Phone Insurance is a dog

image2001273352.jpgFor over 2 years I have unwittingly paying for phone insurance at £6 a month which offers very little in the way, I discover, of useful cover.

With an excess of £50 and owning a phone worth £110 in 10 months I may aswell have put the money in my own bank account as an insurance of my own, then I would be into profit.

The cover offered for use of phone minutes by a thief can be eclipsed by asking for call baring to be turned on if your account exceeds the allocated minutes. Three will reluctantly allow this feature.

So the cover Three phone insurance offers for the price is pretty bad, but it gets worse.

If you read the small print it states that you must contact them when you change your phone, this is your job and when you upgrade your phone, Three do not do this automatically. I fell fowl of this clause recently discovering the phone I had upgraded to was not covered and had not been for 6 months.

It gets worse. My wifes phone is in my name, unless you specifially name an individual as a user the phone is not covered when they have it. So basically the phone has never been covered.

Three happily sell you phone insurance under circumstances which they should make you aware that you are not covered for unless you perform certain notifications. They allow you to upgrade your phone and don't inform you the insurance you had on your old hand set is not automatically transferred to your new phone.

None of this is covered in the document I was given when I bought the policy. The only place I found it was online after I needed to make a claim and discovered I was not covered in the event of making a claim.

I feel I was miss sold the insurance but don't rate my chances of any refund from a company such as the who don't care about customers, just subscriber numbers.

I shall cancel my policy tommorrow.

Don't waste your money on this insurance
