When you have exhausted all avenues of complaint and the company you have had bad service or has sold you a product you are dissatified with has not responded in a timeley manner, or refunded you to a level you are happy with, where do you turn? In the old days you might have gone legal or maybe asked Citizens Advice.
Nowadays many people are turning to the blogsphere in order to air their greivances. I have personal experience of this when launching a complaint against Arighi Bianchi in Macclesfield. Some time after the blog post occured, I discovered i was outperforming them on Google. Before long I had a phone call from the owners secretary. I had a full appology and they could not do enough to compensate me for the bad service I experienced.
Others have engaged the blogsphere to great effect. A recent case against Thompsons Tunisia holidays which again is performing exceptionally well against Thompson on the terms in google. Hey presto, the guy gets what he wants and the newspapers have picked up the story too!
So the advice is if you want to make a complaint on the web, make sure you stick to the facts, don't exaggerate and you might just get what you wanted in the first place. If you say anything which could be deemed a lie or exaggeration, expect the lawyers, not the secretary to come a calling. Happy blogging!
